Recap

In the sprawling city of Dryads Lair, a day of conflicting calendars and chaotic packing was underway. It was Tralldin, a new year amidst the blooming warmth of mid-spring, yet among the travelers, confusion reigned about the date. Miranda Paige, a steadfast companion in the group, conversed casually with Indigo. "Well when I asked Branwyn to join her, it was just Hoffman and I," she reflected, considering the burgeoning size of their party. Their ship felt cramped, yet the matter of accommodating all was left to Indigo's seafaring expertise. "The knarr can take tons of cargo," Indigo assured, "Just not people, for some odd rule of ships." As they prepared for their departure, Indigo and Miranda mused over creating ships or skiffs for their journey, hoping to lighten their current load. Meanwhile, Indigo headed to Tiberius' grand residence to retrieve his lord's luggage. The valet grimly presented a small sack and two large chests, "This is what he should take," the valet instructed, and Indigo was grateful Branadarus had not opted to relocate the furniture. As the travelers gathered their things from the mansion and onto the knarr, the conversation soon turned to Mercy—a child found abandoned, now temporarily in their care. Miranda seemed determined to help Hugh and Neith with the child. "My God has charged me to take care of them," she said, her voice a mix of determination and nostalgia for her days as a priestess of Idun. With final arrangements made, the crew set sail, leaving the towering cityscape of Dryads Lair for the serene, open water. As their ship drifted downriver towards Ports like Bywater, excitement mingled with a touch of trepidation. Shi'Nynze, new to the marvels of these ancient realms, marveled at the passing scenery. The journey onward promised new challenges, with Bywater on the horizon and uncertainties shrouded the way forward. The river whispered secrets through the night, urging the crew onward into mysteries yet to unfold.
