General

What is Tabletop Arc?

Tabletop Arc is a tool for GMs and players: upload your TTRPG session audio and get a clean transcript, episode recap, GM continuity notes, and a campaign wiki (Lore Wall) that stays in sync with your canon. You can share public arc pages when you want.

Do I need to stay on the page?

No. Processing runs in the background. Come back when it's done.

What if my session is 3+ hours?

Pro includes 600 minutes/month (~3 × 3-hour sessions). Add-on packs cover more.

Can I have multiple campaigns?

Yes, unlimited campaigns. Minutes are per account, not per campaign.

What TTRPG systems are supported?

Tabletop Arc is system-agnostic. We don't parse rules — we transcribe speech and extract story and lore. Use it with D&D, Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, or any system.

Recording & Audio

What audio formats are supported?

We support common formats such as MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, and others. Maximum file size is 2 GB per upload.

Can I upload multiple files per episode?

Each episode has one audio upload. If you record in multiple parts, combine them into a single file before uploading, or create separate episodes.

What happens if my audio is longer than my remaining minutes?

We warn you before processing starts. Uploads won't begin unless you have enough minutes. You can add more (upgrade or add-on) and retry.

Does it understand fantasy names and made-up words?

It usually gets names right from context. You can correct any spelling in the transcript — those fixes carry forward into your recap and wiki.

What spoken languages are supported?

Tabletop Arc uses Deepgram Nova-2 for transcription, which supports 36+ spoken languages including English, Danish, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Polish, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Hindi, and many more. Language is auto-detected by default, or you can set it explicitly per session. The AI extraction and recap pipeline works with any language — your recap and lore will be generated in the language of your campaign.

Lore & Canon

How does canon extraction work?

After you upload and transcribe, you run Analysis (Gatekeeper). It scans the transcript for scenes, entities (characters, locations, items, etc.), and events. You then review and approve or dismiss these in the Review queue; approved items become part of your Lore Wall.

Can I edit extracted lore?

Yes. You can edit lore entries in the Lore Wall. You can also add manual lore changes in the Story tab and create entries from scratch. Evidence links back to the transcript so you keep provenance.

What are player submissions?

Players can submit observations (e.g. "We learned that X"). These appear in the Review queue for the GM to approve or reject before they become canon. You must clear pending submissions before publishing an episode.

Publishing

Can I publish without audio?

Yes. Write a manual recap in the Story tab (Markdown supported). You can publish that without running the audio pipeline.

Why can't I publish an episode?

You need either a generated story or a manual recap. If there are pending player submissions in the Review queue, approve or reject them first. The Publish tab shows a checklist of what's missing.

How do I unpublish?

Open the episode, go to the Publish tab, and click Unpublish. The episode disappears from the public arc page but remains in your dashboard.

What is Unlisted vs Public?

Public arcs can be discovered. Unlisted arcs are not listed in search or discovery, but anyone with the link can view them. Private arcs are only visible to you and invited members.

Account & Billing

What happens when my trial ends?

It auto-converts to Pro ($19/mo). Cancel anytime to drop to Free (30 min/month).

How do minutes work?

Minutes are used for transcription (and analysis where applicable). They are per account, shared across all your arcs. Free: 30/month. Pro: 600/month. Add-on packs give extra minutes that expire at the end of your billing cycle.

What happens if I cancel?

You keep access until the end of your billing period, then you move to the Free tier. Your data (arcs, episodes, lore) stays; you just have fewer minutes per month.

Where is my public profile?

Set a handle in Profile (account menu → Profile). Your page is at tabletoparc.com/u/your-handle and shows your display name, bio, social links, and public arcs you run or play in.

Privacy & Safety

Is my campaign data private?

Private by default. Only invited players see your campaign. Public pages are optional and controlled by you in Arc settings.

Who can see my data?

Only you and people you invite to an arc. If you make an arc Public or Unlisted, anyone with the link can view the public pages (episodes you've published, wiki, map). They cannot see private data, transcripts, or GM continuity.

How do I report content?

On public arc pages there is a Report button. Submit a report with a short description. Reports are reviewed by our team. You can optionally leave your email for follow-up.
