Getting Started
Seven steps to go from signup to a published episode. New to Tabletop Arc? Start here.
Step 1: Create your first Arc
An Arc is your campaign — one story world with episodes, lore, and maps. From the dashboard, create an arc and give it a name. You can have unlimited arcs; minutes are per account.
Step 2: Create an episode
Each session is an episode. On your arc page, create a new episode (e.g. "Session 1" or "The Goblin Cave"). You can add an optional episode brief (goals, beats) before or after recording.
Step 3: Upload audio
Upload your session recording in the Run Center. We support common formats (MP3, WAV, M4A, etc.) up to 2 GB. Transcription starts automatically; you can leave the page and come back when it's done.
Step 4: Review extracted lore
After transcription, run Analysis to extract scenes, entities, and events from the transcript. In the Story tab, use the Review queue to approve or dismiss scenes and lore observations. Fix any names or facts you want to carry into the recap.
Step 5: Generate your story
Once review is done, generate the episode recap and GM continuity report. You can regenerate with different tone. Optionally write a manual recap instead of (or in addition to) the AI recap. Then publish the episode when you're ready.
Step 6: Invite your players
Go to Players and invite by email. Choose role: Player or GM. They receive a link to accept. Players can view the Lore Wall, maps (if you allow), and published episodes; only GMs can upload audio and run the pipeline.
Step 7: Go public (optional)
In Arc settings, set Public status to Unlisted or Public and add a slug, title, and description. Your arc gets a shareable page with episodes, wiki, and map. Perfect for actual plays or sharing with friends.
